Young And The Restless Scoop August 14: Nikki Won’t Support Victor’s Plan To Destroy Jack – Chance’s Funeral Took Place Offscreen

The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, August 14 reveals Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will defy Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Y&R spoilers tease Daniel will play guitar at the park. Then Danny will arrive and he’ll have a big smile on his face as he watches his son. Daniel will spot him and Danny will tell him Christine said yes to his proposal. “We plan to get married in October,” he’ll add.

Daniel will say he’s happy for him. Danny will ask him to be his best man. “I would be honored to stand up for you dad,” he’ll reply. Talk will turn to Daniel’s guitar lessons with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and he’ll admit he has feelings for her. But it feels disloyal to Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom).

Y&R Daily Scoop – Christine Asks Daniel To Do Her A Big Favor

Plus, Tessa’s married to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and he hopes they’ll find a way back to each other. “I’m sure you hope that,” Danny will reply. “But where does this leave you?” Daniel will say he has to find a way to let it go.

Meanwhile, Christine will greet Lauren at Society. She’ll ask about Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) funeral in LA. “I still can’t believe he’s gone, Nina’s devastated,” she’ll reply. Christine will say he got full military honors and was buried in a veteran’s cemetery.

She’ll add that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) brought their son Dom and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) was there as well. Not surprisingly, with this poor excuse for a soap, the whole service took place offscreen. After that they’ll discuss, at length, Cane Ashby, and the fact that he’s in Genoa City.

Eventually, Lauren will ask Christine how it’s going with Danny. She’ll show Lauren her engagement ring and ask her to help find the perfect dress. Lauren will say she’s going to work up three different dresses for her. “I’m so happy for you.”

Then Danny and Daniel will arrive and Christine will hug them. Danny will say he asked Daniel to be his best man. Christine will say she has a big ask of him as well, and he’s probably not going to like it. “I need you to keep your mom as far away from the festivities as possible.”

On Cane’s choo choo train, Lily will arrive. She’ll tell him most normal people would probably stay in a hotel. Then they’ll discuss the merits of traveling by train instead of an airplane. Cane will say he’s glad to see her and whatever she needs, he’s there.

Lily will remind Cane she told him not to come back to town. But she appreciates him giving her the space she needs. So, he’ll ask why she wanted to see him. Lily will say she wanted to know if he’s called their children yet. Cane will say he wanted to talk to them together. And it’ll cause a huge argument.

“This was your deception Cane, so it’s on you to rectify it with our kids,” Lily will tell him. However, she’ll suddenly have a change of heart and tell him he’s been a good father. “I will agree to tell the kids with you, if you agree to tell me what you’re really doing here.”

Finally, Nikki will offer to drive Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to work in her Ferrari. She’ll turn to her husband and ask why he’s been so quiet this morning. So, Victor will ask Nikki if it’s true she almost sold Chancellor to Cane while they were in the south of France.

“Nikolas was being held hostage,” she’ll reply. “It’s true, I did offer Chancellor to Cane to save Nikolas.” Nikki will say she hopes Victor understands. “Why in the hell did you allow Cane Ashby to manipulate you?” he’ll reply.

“It was my decision to trade Chancellor for our son’s freedom,” Nikki will say. “And you better not be angry with me for doing what any other parent would have done.” Then Victor will ask Nick to make friends with Cane. “Join forces with him and convince him we have the same goal in mind.” Nikki will ask what the end game is.

“We make him forget about Chancellor,” Victor will say. So, Nikki will ask what Cane gets out it.  “Jabot,” Victor will reply. “And we will help him take over the damn company.” But Nikki will say absolutely not. Victor will tell her he doesn’t blame her for risking Chancellor to save Nick. “But not to save Jack Abbott. And if that is going to be a problem, you and I will have a big one.”
