The Young and the Restless Wednesday, September 17 Recap: Sally’s Life Ruined, Jack Refuses to Save Billy from Prison

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, September 17, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will refuse to save Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) from prison while Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) reels over a lie.

At the Abbott mansion, Sally will show up looking for Jack since he might be the only one who can talk some sense into Billy.

Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will agree to get Jack on the phone and summon him back to the house.

In the park, Jack will give Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) updates on Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) hold on Billy and the threat that could be brewing for Chancellor as a result.

There’ll also be some talk about the secret weapon that Cane’s been hyping up, so Nikki will admit she thinks Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) knows what it is – though he’s been cagey about it.

Victor will come along and taunt Jack a bit on Wednesday’s Y&R episode.

After Jack gets Diane’s SOS for Sally, he’ll take off and leave Victor to face Nikki’s questions about Cane’s secret weapon.

Once Jack heads home, Sally will sit down with him as well as Diane and voice concerns about the mistake Billy’s making.

Sally will come clean about the AI software that Cane’s offering and the illegal mess Billy’s about to get tangled up in.

Sally will also admit that Billy intends to go with his own scheme instead of Cane’s and use the software to threaten Victor directly.

Billy’s goal is to get Victor to sign over Chancellor and fund Abbott Communications.

After Sally mentions Jack pulling his own funding, Jack will correct her on that since Billy told him to take it back.

Sally will realize Billy lied in hopes that she’d go along with his plan, so she’ll reel since she blew up her life for Billy and all the promises he made her.

Despite that, Sally will acknowledge that she still loves Billy.

Although Sally warned Billy that she wanted no part of this, she won’t know if that’s enough to convince Billy to walk away.

Sally will count on Jack to step up as a brother and steer Billy down the right path, especially since Billy could land in prison over all this.

Unfortunately, Jack won’t be willing to intervene anymore and will insist Billy will have to sink or swim on his own.

On Cane’s train, he’ll quiz Billy about the Sally situation, so Billy will claim it’s on its way to being handled.

Cane will worry about Sally being a liability and won’t want Billy to do this if it’s going to jeopardize his relationship.

Billy will feel confident that Sally won’t be a problem, but then Cane will get nervous about Billy’s personal vendetta against Victor.

That could be a liability too as far as Cane’s concerned since it’ll make Billy more prone to emotional decisions.

Billy will also bicker with Cane about Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) briefly before they get back to the deal they’re trying to strike.

After Billy makes a speech defending his vengeful desires as a good thing, he’ll push Cane to hand over the AI software so they can watch Victor beg for mercy.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Cane will have a big decision to make, so stay tuned for any bad news that’s looming in the corporate world!
