The Young and the Restless Wednesday, August 13 Recap: Victor Cries Over Victoria’s Plea
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, August 13, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will cry over Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) plea while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) almost decks Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
At the Newman ranch, there’ll be some talk about Billy and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) siding with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) as Nick and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) catch up with Victor.
Victor will also give Adam the green light on publishing the news that Cane is Aristotle Dumas, so Adam will prepare to move forward with that as soon as legal signs off.
Victoria will eventually come along and request a private conversation with Victor, so Adam and Nick will make their way to Crimson Lights.
In the meantime, Victoria will confront Victor over his plan to have Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) break up Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) romance.
Victor will defend his right to protect his family and won’t see the problem with making Kyle look bad in Claire’s eyes.
Whether Claire gets her heart broken or not, Victoria will feel like her daughter should get to learn lessons for herself.
Victor’s actions will remind Victoria of all the times he interfered in her own love life, so she’ll reflect on how it almost cost them their relationship.
Victoria won’t want that for Victor and Claire, but she’ll fear he could lose her forever if he doesn’t let this go.
Victor will end up giving Victoria a hug with tears in his eyes, so her plea will bring out some tough emotions.
In the park, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will try to discuss Abbott Communications with Billy, but he’ll be distracted.
Billy will finally admit Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) asked him to spy on Cane and serve as an inside man since Cane’s going after Jabot.
Sally will have some concerns about that plan and will grow frustrated over Billy not taking an interest in the media company she’s been pouring her heart into.
Since Billy’s focus is already on going after Chancellor, he’ll decide to go ahead and put Sally in charge of Abbott Communications now.
Afterward, Billy will run into Nick and Adam at the coffeehouse, so they’ll push for answers about whether he’s working with Cane to further his agenda.
Billy will act cagey and take some jabs about Victor giving Chancellor to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as a shiny new toy.
After Billy talks about Nikki playing dress up as CEO, Nick will shout that’s enough and warn him not to talk about his mom like that.
As the confrontation escalates, Nick will deliver a fierce threat and suggest Billy can try running his mouth while he’s spitting his teeth out.
Billy will be willing to let Nick take a swing at him, but Nick will agree with Adam about Billy not being worth it.
Once Billy exits on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Adam and Nick will be convinced that Cane’s got Billy in his back pocket.
At Society, Jack will join Cane for a planned meeting, so Cane will reveal that he ordered some empanadas for Jack.
That’ll be a power move as far as Jack’s concerned – a way to exert control like Cane did when he held them all hostage on his estate in Nice.
Cane will see the contempt in Jack’s eyes and assume they’re not going to be making a deal.
Jack will admit that he’s had a change of heart about selling Cane his Abbott Communications shares and will push him to leave town instead.
Cane will insist that’s not happening and will make it clear that he’s confident in his corporate vision.
However, Jack will point out that if the buzz he’s heard is true, Cane may want to remember the tenacity of the people he’s going up against.
Jack will ultimately head home to Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and offer updates on his tense meeting with Cane.
Meanwhile, Cane will call Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) in the park and apologize for missing her when she came by to see him.
Since Cane will still think they have some things to say to each other, he’ll hope they can still meet up.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Cane and Lily will indeed have an important discussion soon, so stay tuned!
