Days of our Lives celebrated their 60th anniversary last night with a red carpet event and party as your favorites from Salem gathered together to honor the incredible six decade milestone of the iconic soap opera.
Peacock, the exclusive streaming home of Days of our Lives since September of 2022, threw the bash on Saturday, November 8th, the same date as the series premiered back on NBC in 1965. The soap opera was created by the legendary Ted and Betty Corday, and now years, later their son, Ken Corday, has continued on the family tradition as the sole executive producer of the show, following his mother’s passing, since 1987.

Days of our Lives is the multi-award-winning daytime drama that has weathered and reflected political and societal shifts without pause since 1965. Featuring drama, romance, mystery and suspense, “Days” follows the lives, loves and conflicts of the Horton, Brady, DiMera, Kiriakis and Hernandez families and their many friends and colleagues. As one of the longest-running scripted television programs in the world, it is enjoyed in many foreign territories including Canada, Sweden, New Zealand, Israel, South Africa and Australia.

Even though the soap just turned 60, there is much more DAYS to come, as Peacock renewed the series for its 62nd and 63rd seasons, extending its run through at least the 2027-2028 television season. Days of our Lives is produced by Corday Productions Inc. in association with Sony Pictures Television.

Real-life family were also present to celebrate the accomplishments of their parents. First, Teddy Corday, Series EP Ken Corday, Amanda Corday, and Kimberly Corday, and next to them, DAYS star Deidre Hall with her son, David Sohmer.
