General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) will be crushed over Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) inevitable reunion. Spinelli will realize he’ll be facing some heartbreak after Maxie’s coma awakening, so he’ll have to prepare for another difficult blow.

Maxie and Spinelli finally formed the perfect little family, so Spinelli was in a state of bliss until disaster struck.

This coma situation threw Spinelli for a loop, but he’s been hoping to propose marriage once Maxie wakes up.

Of course, Maxie’s loved ones don’t have any guarantees when it comes to the timeline of when she’ll emerge from her coma.

There’s no way to know for sure that it’ll even happen at all, but Spinelli’s been keeping hope alive.

However, Spinelli was counting on picking up right where he left off with Maxie and entering a new marriage chapter.

Even with the DNA proof and the matching fingerprints, Spinelli may remain skeptical.

That may be partly because Spinelli doesn’t want to give up the life he’s built with Maxie and the kids.

Spinelli was ready to be a stepfather to James West (Gary James Fuller), but now James’ bio dad is back in the picture.

Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) will feel like James deserves to know his father is alive and eventually meet him.

James and Nathan have missed out on too many years together as it is, so Felicia won’t want to keep them apart any longer than necessary.

It’ll be Spinelli who struggles with this – perhaps knowing that Nathan is going to bond with James and take another step toward the life Spinelli so desperately wanted.

Nathan is Maxie’s true love, so there’s no way she’ll choose Spinelli over him.

Spinelli may bow out so that Maxie doesn’t have to make that choice anyway, but it’s going to hurt knowing Maxie’s wakeup call will mean a Nathan reunion.
