On the current season of General Hospital, Carly Corinthos, played by Laura Wright, hasn’t been around very much. You would think that fans would be upset by her being gone, but it turns out that they feel the opposite.
General Hospital‘s Focus Lately
The soap opera for the last few weeks hasn’t been focused at all on Carly Corinthos or her storyline. Instead, Maxie is in a coma, and Spinelli was going to propose to her. Joss is on a scary mission and just admitted that she is an agent. Drew is trying what he can to keep Alexis from seeing Scout and wants to put a protective order against her. None of these storylines have anything to do with Laura Wright’s character, so she hasn’t been seen much. She may find out more about what Joss has been up to lately, which would give her a story to focus on.

The Fans Aren’t Upset
It turns out that the fans aren’t really that upse that Carly isn’t around. One fan said on Twitter, “1. We got more Molly and other characters without Carly’s presence 2. I like Carly and she is one of the few characters that I can handle seeing.” So it sounds like this fan doesn’t really care either way.
On Facebook a few fans of General Hospital have been a bit more vocal. One fan spoke out saying, “Love it, love it, love it that Carly hasn’t been on. The show couldn’t be more better. Team Nina.” Another one spoke out, saying, “Nina better start talking to her daughter straight. Drew will make you loose your children forever.”
For now, fans are just going to have to wait and see when they put Carly back on the show. Soap operas are known for having someone in a big role and then slowing down their storyline for a while. Laura Wright will probably be back soon with a big story that focuses on her character.

For now, Laura Wright isn’t saying anything about the lack of Carly’s story right now, so hopefully, she isn’t to upset about it all. It will be interesting to see what story comes up next for her.
