General Hospital Friday, September 12 Recap: Sonny & Brick Frame Drew for Judge Bribe – Jason Slams Anna’s Betrayal
General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, September 12, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Brick (Stephen A. Smith) framed Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) for the judge bribe while Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) slammed Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) for her betrayal.
At the café, Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) chatted with Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) about her plan being on track.
Since Emma knew Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) schedule, she surprised him with a slice of his favorite cheesecake when he walked in.
Professor Dalton eventually got a phone call about a shipment that was coming, so Emma assumed this involved animal testing and felt she’d soon gave him right where she wanted him.
However, Gio had bad news for Emma about missing Outback after getting updates on her vanishing act.
At GH, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) came to thanks to some smelling salts and realized Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was really there in the flesh.
Obrecht embraced Britt and admitted she had so many questions about how this was possible,
Britt promised to provide answers later and accepted a hug from Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) as well.
Britt found out “Ben” aka Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) was at the hospital and clearly wanted to see him, so she was a little annoyed when Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) got in the way.
Lulu and Dante wanted time to discuss things with Rocco first, so Britt headed back to Nina’s place.
That’s where Liesl insisted she wanted answers now, so Britt confessed that she was approached about a research position shortly before Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) attack on the pier.
The attack was real, but Britt was in on faking her demise since she didn’t want Liesl to watch her fade away due to her illness.
Obrecht fumed over Britt letting her think her own daughter died in her arms! Liesl wound up slapping Britt across the face in a fit of rage.
Back at GH, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) gave Rocco some stitches before Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) fibbed about a new protocol.
Rocco was delayed long enough to make sure the coast was clear when it came to Britt.
Rocco went home with Dante and Lulu, so they sat him down with Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) and admitted that Britt showed up at the hospital tonight.
Rocco realized he’d been kept away from Britt and didn’t seem happy about that, but Lulu and Dante wanted to take their time in handling all this.
In Anna’s office, Jason insisted on speaking with her alone. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) left, so Jason confronted Anna about Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Anna was apologetic for hiding Josslyn’s WSB status from Jason, but she pointed out that Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) put her in a tight spot.
Spilling would’ve meant going down for treason. Anna at least steered Jason in Josslyn’s direction, but he felt manipulated.
Now that Jason knew everything, Anna wondered what he was going to do. Jason wasn’t going to tell Carly because he promised Josslyn he wouldn’t, but he remained upset over Anna’s betrayal.
When Anna pushed for details on what went down in Croatia, Jason urged her to ask Brennan and stomped off.
In Australia, Josslyn and S. Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) came back from surfing on Bondi Beach and landed in bed together.
There was some talk about how intense their connection was after almost dying, but Vaughn insisted Brennan couldn’t know about this.
Suddenly, Brennan entered the door and startled both agents, so Vaughn and Josslyn drew their weapons on him.
Once Josslyn and Vaughn realized it was Brennan, they lowered them and realized they’d been busted under the sheets.
Brennan gave “Mr. and Mrs. Nash” a minute to get dressed before grilling them about the mission at the Five Poppies Resort.
Josslyn and Vaughn explained the Britt situation before talking about their blown cover, which Brennan admitted happened because of Colette Moreau (Mercedes Lopez Renard).
Brennan wondered how Vaughn and Josslyn were still alive, so Joss admitted Jason came to their rescue.
That curveball left Brennan reeling and left him with even more questions, so Josslyn guessed Jason’s presence at the resort was related to Britt.
Brennan was livid with Josslyn and Vaughn for letting their simple recon mission go so far off the rails.
Back in Port Charles, Brick spoke to Sonny in his office and confirmed that when Judge Eva Heran’s (Tessa Auberjonois) account was investigated, it would look like Drew was behind the $1 million transfer.
Carly came along to reveal that Jason was back and mentioned seeing him in Anna’s office, so that led to her admitting why she was there.
Carly told Sonny and Brick about her threat to kill Drew, which she needed to get ahead of.
There was some talk about Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), so Brick wondered if Carly was really trying to steer attention off him instead.
Carly didn’t think Michael was guilty, but she had concerns about Drew taking him down anyway.
Over with Elizabeth again, she shocked Lucas by revealing that Britt was alive.
Once Lucas was convinced, he wanted to get Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) on the phone and notify him.
Liz stopped Lucas and pointed out that Brad could’ve been in on Britt faking her demise.
General Hospital spoilers say Brad and Lucas may cross paths again before long, so stay tuned for any awkwardness ahead.
