What to expect on Days of our Lives
On Thursday, the Brady, Black, and DiMera clans gathered in Horton Town Square for the big gala celebrating the opening of Dr. Tom Horton Free Clinic. On Friday, the Hortons take over the square as they honor Tom and all he gave to Salem University Hospital throughout his life and career.
Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), and Marie (Maree Cheatham) all take to the podium to share memories of a great man, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t drama to go around. Jennifer is still reeling from Thomas’ accident and her blowup with Chad (Billy Flynn). She hates fighting with him, but feels that Thomas and Charlotte will be better off with her and Jack (Matthew Ashford) in Boston.
Jack tries to reassure Jennifer that she is doing the right thing, but she is not 100 percent sure. She hates to take the children from their father, but just doesn’t feel that he has their best interests at heart right now. Will Chad be able to convince her otherwise? He didn’t even attend the gala so he could be by Thomas’ side.
At least Jennifer gets to reunite with both of her brothers, Mike (Roark Critchlow) and Lucas (Bryan R. Dattilo). Julie also gets some moments with her brother when Steven Olson (Stephen Schnetzer) arrives back in town for the big event. This is the second time Julie has seen her brother in the course of a year after decades apart. At least this time, it is for a much happier occasion.
Tension for Sarah and Xander
Maggie keeps an eye on Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) as she has to deal with Xander’s (Paul Telfer) presence at the gala. They share a few awkward moments before Maggie updates her daughter on Xander’s actions at Titan. He is determined to save the family business and really is close to Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) now.
That doesn’t make much of a difference to Sarah, who has decided that Xander will never change and that they have to divorce. There is nothing anyone can say that will talk Sarah out of her decision.
